Wow

Sometimes when I post from my phone I just can't tell how bad the pictures are until I see them on the blog. The last one was especially terrible.

I hope some few of you went out to see the full lunar eclipse tonight.  It was quite remarkable.  Even though it was well below freezing, Jen and I went out and a few different times this evening to watch it.  We were going to take some pictures, but my brother has absconded with my good camera and I certainly wasn't going to waste the effort trying to get my phone to capture a worth-while picture.  You really need a good telescopic lens, a tripod, and a camera with an exposure that can be set very slow to capture clear night shots.  I have none of these things, though my digital camera may have performed well enough had not it been in the possession of my brother as it has been for a month or so now.

I find that irritating.  I don't mind that he borrows things, so much as I mind that he doesn't unborrow them in a timely fashion.  I loath having to beg my own items back.
