A friend of mine on myspace posted a link to one of the recent protests against scientology that have been occurring lately, and it got me thinking. I don't like scientology, but I don't like christianity or any number of other religions either. I don't think people, probably mostly christians or other christ based faiths, have jack shit to say about whose religion is crazy or evil.
They believe in aliens you say? Well, you believe in the great wizard in the sky. No doubt scientology has done some evil things in the past, but I bet christianity has them beat several times over. I'm personally all for the complete disbanding of organized religion in general, but short of that I really don't care who gets to have their imaginary overlord. So long as you don't fuck with me, do what you want.
I think scientology just gets a lot of attention because of its host of rich-asshole members. I personally don't give a shit one way or the other. I only give a shit that people are being asshats. The crazy-ass xenu people don't march outside your crazy-ass, cloud-wizard church, so what makes you think you deserve the right to stomp around outside their volcano-alien temple? Fuckers.

One of my friends is literally front and center in the picture on the news.
No offense intended, by the by. I'm just not a fan of religion in general. It's cool that your friend had the balls not to wear a mask. If you feel strong enough about something to protest it, the least you can do is be brave enough to show your face.
