WoW

I rebuilt my World of Warcraft server today. This time I'm setting it up with full Burning Crusade support. That should allow me to maintain an interest in it for at least an extra five or six minutes. Sometimes I think I do this stuff more just to see if I can then to actually play the game. I'm really not a big WoW fan, but it's fun to tinker.

Sadly my server is sorely underpowered as far as memory is concerned. I really need about $100 to put in some more memory. I don't suppose it'll be happening though. I could possibly gather the cash to pay for half of it, but not all of it right now, and despite the fact that other people will probably use the server I doubt any of them will want to contribute to the hardware fund.

Heh, if I could ring together like $400 I could just buy a cheap system with a shit load of ram and use that as a stand-alone server, but I certainly don't see that happening any time soon. Besides, then my old laptop wouldn't have any purpose and I think that would make it sad... if laptops can be sad.
